Independence

Originally part of the Kom-Bum Council, Fundong became an autonomous municipality in 1996 following the decentralization process in Boyo Division.

29 June 1977

City Council Established

Fundong Rural Council was created by Presidential Decree No. 77-203 of 29th June 1977. Initially part of the Kom-Bum council, Fundong became an autonomous council after the decentralization in Boyo Division in 1996.

Organising Decree

Fundong Municipality has a rich history that dates back to its creation by Presidential Decree No. 77-203 of June 29, 1977, following the organization of councils under Law No. 74-23 of December 5, 1974.
